Made in Uji, Kyoto by a 13th-generation tea maker with over 400 years of expertise. This matcha is prepared from carefully shaded tencha leaves and ground to perfection with stone mills, it takes an hour to fill one can. Once reserved for shoguns and samurai, this vibrant green and award-winning matcha reflects centuries of craftsmanship.

This is the highest quality ceremonial matcha from a family business in Uji, Kyoto, which has been making matcha for generations. Only the best tea leaves from the spring harvest are used, all tea leaves are picked by hand.

Takami means noble. When we tasted this ceremonial matcha during a visit to the tea farm in Uji, we were all so enthusiastic that we wanted to add this matcha from Uji directly to our assortment. The taste is very rich, sweet umami, fresh. This excellent ceremonial matcha has no bitterness, only sweet umami. The color is bright green.

This is the crème de la crème from matcha.
